The Seaweed Week Farmers Market

Get Kelp

Seaweed Week is getting ready to celebrate Maine's 2023 kelp harvest by bringing this sustainable, seasonal delicacy to your home kitchen!

For the fourth year in a row, we're partnering with kelp farmers around the state to make it easier than ever for at-home cooks to find and enjoy Maine kelp during Seaweed Week! Fresh-off-the-farm kelp is a nutritious, local crop that adds depth and flavor to your favorite recipes or is a great way to try something new. Whether you're an experienced seaweed chef or new to cooking with kelp, check out our Recipes Page for inspiration and to start planning your kelp creations.

Make sure to check back to this page as Seaweed Week 2023 approaches – we'll be adding participating farms and all the info you need to order fresh kelp. And stay up to date about fresh kelp preorders and all things Seaweed Week by signing up for our mailing list!
