Seaweed Week Kick-Off Party & Saison Aquatic Beer Launch

Join us for the official start of Seaweed Week, a food & drink festival celebrating Maine’s kelp harvest! Local seaweed is incredibly delicious, versatile, healthy and sustainable — which makes this event a fitting way to end Earth Day.

Come enjoy TWO Oxbow beer launches (including kelp beer!), seaweed demos with farmers and scientists, food from Duckfat Frites Shack and live music with DJ HiDuke.

Beer launch

• Saison Aquatic ~ Farmhouse ale with sea salt & sugar kelp from Heritage Seaweed
• Garden Party ~ Farmhouse ale with heather, sweet gale, sweet annie, pineapple sage & conditioned with raspberry honey & brettanomyces, in collaboration with Cambridge Brewing Co

Seaweed demos

• 5 to 6:30 PM: Stop by the demo tables to up your seaweed knowledge and learn about this climate-friendly crop

Seaweed food specials

• The Duckfat Frites Shack (on-site takeout window) will have something special and kelpy on the menu
